“Langston’s Rivers” @cross_hali
My soul runs deep
With rivers too
With a mother’s concern
They can thrash & rage
Like a storm
Or relax into tranquility
From a lover’s touch
These rivers are wise and
Know of the ancients
Flowing back to Eden
Finding,
The rivers in our souls
All have the same origin
Branching in a network
From the tree of life
If you look inward
You will see
You too run deep
Like a river
Come brother, sister
Let us connect our rivers…

Your favourite quote: “Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
Your one wish for the world: I had a teacher who used to ask, "If not you-- then who?" Rumi also said it well, "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." My one wish would be that I would have the courage to be that change.

A small bio about you: I am a faith based renegade, honor seeker, far-outer, eclectic eccentric, mother of two. I’ve been published and other cool stuff, but I’d prefer you click the link above and let my poems speak for themselves.
