Love never dies @memarwoo
Topic - The passing of a loved one
He’s gone, but he’s still here
his love permeating every room,
his laughter still ringing in my ears,
his smile still present in my heart.
Bear hugs and teaching me to dance
as I stood on his toes.
His jokes that brought the house down.
Country walks and seaside trips.
Watching the sunset, counting the stars.
Larger than life, most people said,
larger than death too.
He’s gone but he’s still here.
And, evermore will be.

A small bio about you:
I’m a mum of three and have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. Over the years I’ve had several poems published in both National and local press and a poem published in an anthology. I’m known in my circle of friends for taking a well known song and changing the lyrics to create a humorous, alternative version. I hope, one day, to publish a book of poetry and a book of my philosophies.
