Orbital Residence @CDMetc
There’s a sound in my soul, A rattling cough, Confused but concise, A flittering moth Against an old light bulb Dimmed with some age, Attracted, escaping A self-imposed cage With bars out of sight But present no less, Escaping, attracted, Egress to ingress. The sound of a universe, Clanking existence, Willed into being At cosmic insistence That submission’s a must, And entropy rule, But the moth keeps on pushing, Saturnian fool. The sound in my soul, Creaking music of stars, Explosions of fission, Gravity pulling Mars Out of his orbit And into my housing, Warring factions of constants Constantly rousing, In orbit autumnal, Nocturnal, diurnal, a powder-winged soul stretching for the eternal.

New York native Christian De Matteo is a writer, college professor, writing coach, editor, voracious reader, food lover, movie lover, music lover and occasional hammy actor on very rare and immediately regretted request. He is the founder of Tellworthy Creative Writing Services where he offers Writing Coaching, Editing and Freelance Writing services as well as Creativity Consortiums for every kind of institution, all fueled by his passion for the word in every form. Christian is the author of three completed novels, four screenplays, and an ever-growing collection of short stories and random but passionate musings. In 2019, Christian co-founded a comic book company, Fugitive Poems, with his creative partner James Lines, artist-supreme, into which to channel their most gleefully warped tales. You can find their first comic "River" at FugitivePoems.com and purchase Containment Breach, their first anthology 'zine, on Comixology and Gumroad.com. "River: Distributary" is coming Fall 2020.
