The Organic Poet
The Silent Struggle @tysm_poetry
Updated: Apr 7, 2021
My mind is racing,
veering towards thoughts I can’t convey
I hold them very dearly
these things I cannot say.
I do not think you realize
how much my heart does weigh
and you will never empathize
with debts I must repay.
Go and buy yourself a yacht
dock on a tranquil bay
never knowing life is not
served on a silver tray.
My view is far from perfect,
quite often cold and gray —
some days do not seem worth it
and I just want to lay.
Quiet in confinement
is where I wish to stay
seeking soul alignment
for hours here I pray.
I’ll take a little nap or two
and maybe smoke a jay
“Girl, no matter what you do,
your tattered ends will fray.”
I hear that tiny voice inside
and yes it’s true they may
but I will find the strength to rise
and shine another day.

A small bio about you: I’m T.Y.S.M, a bit left of center. My name I created to pay homage to the warmth and light of the rare and valuable magic that is gratitude. The most extraordinary thing about me is my wife, who has shown me there is nothing true love cannot overcome
